FemHype opened in December of 2014 as a space for all women and nonbinary gamers to discuss our love of video games. Over the course of three rewarding years, the community grew to include a diverse, supportive readership of both developers and fans. Our publication was recognized by a wide variety of industry leaders, including Intel, Feminist Frequency, Kill Screen, and Critical Distance.
In 2015, IndieCade featured FemHype at the “Gaming For Everyone” Pavilion. It was an honor and a delight to meet so many wonderful friends in person!
While the publication itself has since closed, we continue to boost the work of marginalized developers and journalists in the industry across our social media channels. Follow us on Twitter or Tumblr and be sure to reach out if you’d like your work shared with the community!
